Privacy Policy

VoiceCue is a voice recorder, video recorder, teleprompter, and voiceover creation app provided by Project Genesis Apps (“VoiceCue,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how VoiceCue handles information when you use the app.

The media you create

VoiceCue is local-first. Voice recordings, scripts, recorded videos, selected pictures and videos, and finished voiceover projects are processed on your device. VoiceCue does not upload this media to our servers.

Your VoiceCue library is stored on your device. When you choose to save or share a video, a separate copy may be stored in Photos or sent through a service you choose. Copies saved in Photos are managed separately and are not removed when you delete the VoiceCue copy.

Permissions

• Microphone access records voice and video audio.
• Camera access records video and, when selected, a face bubble.
• Photo library access lets you choose media and save completed videos.

You can change these permissions in device settings. Some features will not work without the required permission.

Purchases and subscriptions

Paid VoiceCue plans are purchased through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment and retains your payment-card and Apple Account billing details; VoiceCue does not receive or store those details.

To unlock the correct recording limits, the app receives limited subscription information from Apple, such as the purchased product identifier and whether the subscription is currently active. This information is used only to provide, restore, and manage the plan you purchased. Subscription billing and cancellation are managed through Apple.

Problem reports and diagnostics

VoiceCue uses Sentry, a service provided by Functional Software, Inc., to receive crash reports, handled-error reports, and reports that you deliberately submit from the Report tab.

Reports may include the description you type, app version and build, operating system, device model and general device state, the VoiceCue area and mode in use, the current Free, Plus, or Unlimited plan, technical error details and stack traces, and the date and time.

VoiceCue is configured not to attach recordings, scripts, selected pictures or videos, screenshots, microphone audio, advertising identifiers, or a user profile. VoiceCue does not use session replay or advertising tracking.

We use diagnostic information only to operate VoiceCue, investigate failures, answer support needs, and improve reliability. Sentry processes this information on our behalf under its own privacy policy.

Data sharing, sale, and advertising

We do not sell personal information. VoiceCue does not display third-party advertising and does not track users across apps or websites. Diagnostic and support information is shared only with service providers that help us operate and improve VoiceCue, such as Sentry, or when required by law.

Retention and deletion

Recordings and projects remain on your device until you delete them, remove the app, or manage copies in Photos or another destination.

Diagnostic and support reports are kept only as long as reasonably needed to investigate problems, maintain security, and improve VoiceCue, subject to our service provider’s retention settings.

Children

VoiceCue is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy when VoiceCue’s features or service providers change. The date above shows the latest update.
